Apostolic Bread Of Life Church - Jesus Christ: Master - Messiah - Mighty God
What We Believe:

Article One - The Scriptures
We believe and teach The Bible to be the inspired and infallible Word of God in it's original writings; a revelation from God to man. The Bible is the only God-given authority which man possesses; therefore, all doctrine, faith, hope, and instruction for the church must be based upon and harmonize with The Bible.
{II Tim. 3:16, II Pt.1:20-21, Ps.119:89}

Article Two - The Godhead
We believe and teach in the One, Ever-Living, Eternal God who is infinite in power, holy in His nature, attributes, and purpose. God is not a plurality; but rather the Supreme, Exclusive, Self-Existent One, who has revealed Himself as Father in creation - Son in redemption - and as The Holy Ghost in regeneration. Almighty God's Monotheism is the central doctrine of the Old Testament, and His incarnation as Jesus Christ is the central doctrine of the New Testament. In His humanity, Jesus Christ was man - In His Deity, He was and is God. Jesus Christ is the One True God in His totality, for All the fullness of the Godhead bodily dwells in Him.{Dt.6:4 , Mt.1:21, II Cor.5:19 , Eph.4:6 , I Tim.3:16 , Ps.139:7-10 , Col. 1:15-19 , I Pt.1:20 , Jn.1:1-18 , Mt. 28:18 , Rev.1:8 , Col.2:9 , I Cor.8:6 , Is.9:6 , Jn.14:6-10}

Article Three - Jesus Christ
We believe and teach that our Lord Jesus Christ was begotten, not created. He was born of the virgin Mary - He lived a sinless life - He died a vicarious and atoning death on the cross for the sins of the world - He was resurrected bodily for our justification - and He ascended back to heaven where He now reigns, until all things are put under His feet. {Mt.28:1-10 , Lk.1:26-33 , Jn.3:16 , I Pt.2:22 , Heb.10:10 , Rom.5:16-18 , Acts 1:1-11}

Article Four - Creation
We believe and teach the Biblical account of creation, and not the theory of evolution.{Gen.1 , Ex.20:11 , Col.1:16,17 , Heb.1:10}

Article Five - Fallibility of Man
We believe and teach that man was made in the image of God in an innocent and pure state and is the crown of creation. However; through voluntary transgression, Adam and Eve fell and were banished by God from the garden of Eden. Hence; sin entered into the world.{Gen.1:27 , Gen.3 , Rom. 3:23 , Rom. 5:12-21}

Article Six - New Covenant
We believe and teach that upon the death & resurrection of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, the Time of Reformation had come; thus, initiating the fulfillment to the “old” Covenant, and the establishment of the “new” Covenant. We now have A New & Living Way which He hath consecrated for us; therefore, all of the ceremonial ritualism and the carnal ordinances contained in the Mosaic Law are no longer valid. Eternal Salvation is now available to all humanity because of Calvary's Supreme Sacrifice.{Mt.5:17 , Lk.16:16 , Rom.7:6 , 10:4 , Heb.8:6-10 , 9:10-17 , 10:9,10, 20}

Article Seven - Redemption / The New Birth
We believe and teach that one must be born again {experience the new birth} in order to obtain membership in The Body of Christ {His Church}. Regeneration by the Holy Ghost for the salvation of lost and sinful man is absolutely essential, and is only obtainable by:
(1) Repentance:godly sorrow and sincere prayer which is evidenced by confessing and forsaking of sins. Justification only comes by grace through faith in our Lord's shed blood on Calvary.{Lk.24:47 , Mk.1:15 , 6:12 , Acts 2:38 , 3:19 , Rom.3:21-24}
(2) Water Baptism:by immersion only, and administered in the Name of The Lord Jesus Christ.{Acts 2:38 , 41 , 8:12 ,16 , 38 , 10:48 , 16:33 , 19:3-5 , 22:16 , Gal.3:27 , Col.3:17}
(3) Spirit Baptism:witnessed by the initial, physical sign of speaking in other tongues as evidence. The Holy Ghost is called the Promise of The Father, The Comforter, and The Spirit of Truth; and was given to bring conviction to lost souls - to empower believers and lead them unto all truth - and to administer spiritual gifts to the Church. {Acts 1:8 , 2:4 , 10:46 , 19:6 , Jn.14:16-17 , 15:26 , 16:7-16 , I Cor.12}

Article Eight - The Church
We believe and teach that The Church is the figurative / mystical Body of Christ on the earth. The many members of this “One” Body comprise the “One” Church of Jesus Christ, which is the sum total of all Spirit-Filled believers everywhere.{Mt.16:18 , I Cor.10:16-17 , 12:12-14 , 27 , Eph.5:27 , 30 , 32 , I Pt. 2:5-10 , Rom.8:9 , Heb.12:23}

Article Nine - Brotherly Love
We believe and teach that “By this shall all men know that you are My disciples, if you have love one to another.”{Jn.13:34-35 , Col.3:12-14 , Mt.5:38-48 , I Cor.13 , I Jn.4:7-21}

Article Ten - Holiness
We believe and teach in a life of holiness, without which no man shall see The Lord, through sanctification; as a definite, yet progressive work of grace.
Christians should cleanse themselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God; for God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. We should abstain from any activity or practice which is not conducive to a godly lifestyle; for we are to live and walk in The Spirit.
{I Jn.2:15-16 , I Thess.4:7 , Heb.12:14 , I Pt. 1:15-16 , Titus 2:11-12 , I Tim.2:8-9 , Gal.5:16-26 , Eph.4:23-32 , I Cor.6:19-20 , II Cor.7:1 , Col.3:1-10}

Article Eleven - Spiritual Gifts
We believe and teach in the operation of the gifts of The Spirit for the Empowerment, the Edification, and the Equipping of the Church today.
{I Cor.12 and 14}

Article Twelve - Divine Healing
We believe and teach that healing / deliverance for the spirit, mind, and body is provided in the Atonement, and is available to all believers in Christ.{Heb.13:8 , Mt.8:16-17 , Mk.16:17-18 , James 5:14-16 , I Pt. 2:24 , III John 2 , Is.53:5}

Article Thirteen - Alternative Lifestyles
We believe and teach in the highest possible standard of moral living, and that all forms of unnatural sexuality is condemned by The Holy Scriptures. Therefore; those who are involved in any immoral or deviant behavior; such as homosexuality, fornication, adultery, or such like - will be disqualified from holding any office in the Church - unless or until they have “truly” repented and experienced complete deliverance.{I Cor.6:9-11 , Rom.1:18-32 , II Tim.3:1-5 , Lev.20:13 , Mt.19:3-9 , Mk 10:11-12 , Lk.16:18 , Gal.5:19-21}

Article Fourteen - The Second Coming Of Christ
We believe and teach in the literal, imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ to the earth to receive His Church unto Himself; thus, commencing the following sequence of events: the resurrection of the sainted dead and the redemption of their bodies - the Judgment Seat of Christ - the Battle of Armageddon - the Millennial Reign of Christ - the resurrection of the wicked dead - the Great White Throne Judgment - the Lake of Fire - a New Heaven & a New Earth.{I Thes.4:13-18 , Heb.9:28 , Mt.24:29-31 , Mk. 13:24-27 , Lk.21:27-28 , Jn.14:3 , Acts 1:11 , Rom.14:10 , II Cor.5:10 , Rev.16:16 , Rev.17:14 , Rev.19:11 thru 21:8}

Article Fifteen - Communion
We believe and teach The Bread of Life message as given by our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ in St. John chapter six. “I am the Living Bread.....if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever; and the bread that I will give is My flesh, which I will give for the life of The world. Except ye eat My flesh and drink My blood, ye have no life in you. For My flesh is meat indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.”
Here, Jesus used the words “bread & flesh” as synonymous metaphors, in order to convey that He Himself was the Bread of Life and Life-giver of the world. Just as our physical life is sustained by natural food; accordingly, our spiritual life is only sustained with spiritual food........The Bread of Life.......The Word Made Flesh.

Therefore; our New Covenant Communion is partaking of our Lord's flesh & blood through The Spirit, and enjoying continual fellowship with Christ and His Body {The Church}. Biblical Communion always expresses partnership, distribution, and fellowship; but never does it have reference to an Ordinance/Sacrament where literal emblems of a commemorative memorial are to be used to represent a living, risen Savior. The Hebrew Passover; instituted by God in 1491 B.C., was to be an annual observance by Israel to commemorate their deliverance from Egyptian bondage. {Ex.12 &13}

This Passover and it's symbolism was replaced with our Passover and His substance. Jesus Christ Is Now Our New Covenant Passover. {I Cor.5:7} When Jesus observed the Hebrew Passover with His disciples on the night before His crucifixion, tradition teaches that He instituted a New Covenant Sacrament; commonly referred to as The Lord's Supper, The Eucharist, or Holy Communion. The events of this Passover was to be different than any other, simply because Jesus was to fulfill typology and become The Lamb of God slain from the foundation of the world. During the course of this Passover meal; Jesus used the natural elements of unleavened bread and fruit of the vine as metaphors, to identify His soon-to-be broken body and His soon-to-be shed blood.......but He did not institute an ordinance associated with salvation involving those natural elements.

Jesus never intended this temporary identification to later become a permanent representation; for He assured His disciples that He indeed would eat and drink with them again - but, in a New way....in The Kingdom of God.{Mt.26:29 , Mk.14:25 , Lk.22:16-18}Just a few days before His crucifixion and even after His resurrection, Jesus revealed to His disciples how He would dwell with them and be in them, following His ascension. The Comforter would come.....The Spirit of Truth......The Holy Ghost would dwell in them, and would teach them all things, and would bring all things to their remembrance.{Jn.14:16-26 , 16:7-15 , 20:22 , Lk.24:45-53 , Mk.16:15-20 , Acts 1:8}

Consequently; when Jesus used the term “This Do” in remembrance of Me {Lk.22:19},This do” could only be fulfilled in the Kingdom of God under New Covenant provisions. “The Kingdom of God is not meat & drink, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.” {Rom.14:17}Since the day of Pentecost; The Kingdom of God has taken up residence in us by His Spirit. “For this promise is unto you, to your children, to those afar off - even as many as The Lord our God shall call.” {Lk.17:20-21 , I Cor.12:13 , Acts 2:38-39}When Jesus washed His disciples feet after the Passover meal; He was giving them an illustrated lesson on humility and servitude; for He said, “ A New Commandment I give unto you, that you love one another as I have loved you. By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another.”{Jn.13:12-17 , 34 , 35}

Washing feet has nothing to do with an Ordinance, but it has everything to do with our Spirit-Man. In the 11th chapter of I Corinthians, the Apostle Paul was dealing with the uncharitable conduct of the Corinthian populace, and was trying to establish a code of ethics among them. When he used the adjective “Lord's” in vs 20 to reference their supper, he was actually rebuking them by saying; “You cannot eat the Lord's Supper”. They were not abusing an Ordinance - they were abusing one another with their selfish attitude.

When he used the demonstrative pronouns “this & that” in verses 24-29, he was referencing our “real” New Covenant Communion Ordinance, identified in the previous chapter.“The cup of blessing {not wine} which we bless, is it not the communion {fellowship} of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion {fellowship} of the body of Christ? For we being many are one bread and one body; for we are all Partakers of that ONE BREAD.
{I Cor.10:16,17}

If Literal Communion and natural emblems is what is actually meant here, then anyone who partakes of these same emblems would also have to become One with Christ and His Church. “Therefore let us keep the feast; not with the old leaven {the old way}, neither with the leaven of malice & wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.” {I Cor.5:8}“Behold, I stand at the door {your heart} and knock. If any man will hear My voice and open the door, I will come in to him and will sup with him and he with Me.” {Rev.3:20}“For by One Spirit are we all baptized into One body - and we have all been made to drink into One Spirit.”{I Cor.12:12 , 13 , 27}

All fundamental doctrines of redemption & regeneration are clearly delineated within God's Word, and it is never left up to religious tradition, individual speculation, or private interpretation as to their application, guidelines, and observance. None of the 9 Apostles who wrote the 27 books of the New Testament ever mentioned Literal communion! It is never mentioned in the book of Acts or in any of the Epistles! There is no mention of the early Church ever observing a New Covenant Memorial / Literal Communion service!

There is absolutely no Scriptural precedence for a Literal Communion and Foot Washing observance! We know How and Why we are to repent! We know How and Why we are to be baptized! We know How and Why we are to be filled with The Holy Ghost! We are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ Once For All....Christ offered One sacrifice for sins Forever....For by One offering He perfected Forever those who are sanctified. {Heb.10:10-14}Jesus established the New Covenant and a new way for the Church to commune and partake of Him; but He did not replace the old covenant Passover meal with a new covenant Lord's Supper.

We recognize the fact that there are convictions, revelations, and doctrinal truths revealed to some Christians, which are not revealed to nor understood by others; therefore, we believe that anyone who has truly been Born Again of Water and Spirit are God's children and members of the Body of Christ.

While we reject Luther's Consubstantiation and Catholicism's Transubstantiation as being part of our New Covenant plan of salvation; we respectfully disagree with those of Like Precious Faith who partake of a commemorative memorial, Literal Communion.......as long as emblems are not associated with salvation.

In such cases; we will endeavor to keep the unity of The Spirit in the bond of peace, until we all come in the unity of the faith.{Eph. 2:13-22 , 4:3 ,13}
